I've always wanted to draw a male lion, they are so powerful and have a very masculine body shape. It took me a long time to finish this piece as there were many details I had to work on, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I used a mixture of charcoal: compressed, willow and pencil. I worked with the help of special erasers, charcoal blenders and my fingers to get the result that I wanted.
